The Spray Foam Solution
To permanently resolve these issues, Weeks Spray Foam applied a continuous layer of closed-cell spray foam across the entire interior envelope. As shown in the project photos, the foam was sprayed directly onto the corrugated metal roof deck and exterior walls.
Our crew meticulously worked around the building’s heavy infrastructure. We ensured clean, consistent coverage around the heavy structural I-beams, ceiling purlins, lighting fixtures, and the yellow Gorbel crane systems. The enclosed office structure in the center of the shop was carefully protected during the application, ensuring a flawless integration between the workspace and the climate-controlled office area.
The Finished Result
By using closed-cell foam for this metal building insulation project, we achieved three things at once: we established a rigid thermal barrier, completely air-sealed the envelope, and added structural integrity to the metal panels.
